Among Some investing strategies, I am adopting the Ginger Ale Portfolio of John Tyler Williamson using eToro.
Using eToro, here are the ETFs I am going to use:
- US Large Cap Stocks - VOO
- US Small Cap Value - IWN
- Developed Markets - VEA
- Emerging Markets - VWO
- International Small Cap Value - (Unavailable)
- US Long-term Treasury Bonds - TLT
- TIPS - VTIP
- Emerging Markets Governmt Bonds - EMB
There is currently no ETF indexing the international small cap value, so I am putting the other 10% to US Small Cap Value.
My final Ginger Ale eToro portfolio will look this way:
- US Large Cap Stocks - 20% (VOO)
- US Small Cap Value - 30% (IWN)
- My choice of this stock is influenced by Kyle Woodley’s article referenced below.
- Developed Markets - 15% (IEFA) → (VEA)
- Emerging Markets - 15% (VWO)
- US Long-term Treasury Bonds - 10% (TLT)
- TIPS - 5% (VTIP)
- Emerging Markets Government Bonds - 5% (EMB)
Update
I no longer use this portfolio.
