My mission is to live my life deliberately, informed by my jiyū shūkyō. Every day, I try to “suck all the marrow out of life.” I maintain daily practices that help me do so. Seiza meditation and walking help me directly interact with the universe, while mindful reading, journaling, and studying through my talahardin help me learn from existing archetypes of the life I want to live.
I compliment my personal practices with activities that lead me back to my kapwa, lipunan, and sansinubkob. I join and facilitate meditations and conversations with the communities I’m a part of. Mindful that my actions always affect others, I strive to always practice compassion and deepen my connection with others at every moment.
My jiyū shūkyō is expressed as a liberative and socially conscious art practice centered around writing. My goal is to create artifacts that serve as spiritual footprints that may be of help in some way to fellow jiyūshūkyōjins.
To support myself in this mission, I take care of my mind and body, so that I’m always at my best state. Mindful that how I move through the material economy affects how I help build the world I want to live in, I try to provide for my material needs through meaningful work, use resources efficiently, and limit my interaction with the exchange economy by developing self-reliance.
